Change Your Practice Plans Dave Cisar, his book and the Screaming Eagle Organization teach proper practice methods and techniques to get the youth player properly grounded in the sport and more importantly to have fun while they do it. Truly, I believe the Eagles organization should be congratulated and studies to ensure that youth football organizations throughout this great country can share in the joy and life lessons discovered through using this system. Because of this track record, the emphasis on teamwork and thousands for hours of research Dave has done, this book does what it claims in the title. It is a how-to book designed for you, the coach to provide your players and your community a method of Winning Youth Football games. Every youth football coach should have this book in his arsenal. I encourage every coach to read and study this book and make it the foundation of your program. This year I decided to take on a whole new challenge by coaching a group of boys, the majority of them who had not won a game in 3 years. Here is what I took on: Last year in our local organization (Hampstead Ravens), the team one age group below my team had struggled miserably over 3 years. 0-18 record, only 5 touchdowns scored. On their very last practice in October of 2013 their coaching staff failed to show up to coach them that evening. Our first game of the season was against the 2013 10-12 year old Maryland State Champions. A very good, well coached, and athletic team. Our boys won the game 28-6. They almost scored as many TD?s in one game as in all 3 previous seasons combined.http://www.bosport.be/newsletter/bose-headset-x-manual Something new that we did over previous years is that we added a grave yard adjacent to our practice field and we created tombstones of each team we defeated with the score. The boys loved it. An idea I borrowed from Coach Bobby Bowden of FSU fame. Our boys went on to dominate every team thereafter, going undefeated 14-0, Regular Season Division Champions, League Super Bowl Champions and Maryland State Champions by scoring 461 points on offense and giving up only 20 points on defense. They had 11 shut outs and in 6 games the opposing team did not get a first down. An amazing accomplishment. These were the same teams that ran all over these boys 3 seasons in a row. The boys even came up with their own call to battle ? ?You got my back! I got your back!? Even with all the great stats and victories, our team still had to overcome adversity including injuries and personal challenges at home. I credit this season?s success to the dedication of the parents and the boys that committed to following a proven system, WinningYouthFootball, and our coaches that were 100 dedicated to helping these boys have the best season of their lives. Our goal was to create memories that would last them a lifetime. If you believe and follow the WinningYouthFootball system exactly how it is to be run, you will achieve great success no matter what type of kids you will coach. We proved it, we took a group of kids that had zero success 3 years prior and turned them in to Champions. The system works! Even though I know your books inside and out, I still got 3 pages of new notes from you. This year we were League Champs at 7-9 year olds retained all but 1 kid. Last year that team was 0-7 only scored 6 points all season. This season we averaged 49pts a game and finished the regular season un-scored on. My team the Maryland Seahawks14U loves football and loves your system. It makes being on offense so much more fun for them and keeps them interested.http://gemabazan.com/images/brother-printer-dcp-7030-service-manual.pdf In 2013 we won the AAU National Championship in Orlando,FL and averaged 41 points a game thanks to your system. Vikings Mighty-mite level won the Chicagoland UYFL conference with a 9-0 regular season and 3 playoff wins to secure the local championship. The Jr. Vikings then went to the UYFL national championship tournament in Plant City Florida and won 2 more games before losing in the National championship game 27-19. This 8-9 year old team ran the Sainted 6, Mouse, Spinner and Jet formations on offense and ran the WT6 on defense. The offense scored 361 points in 15 games and the defense allowed 70 points in those 15 games. Vikings, Age 8-9 Chicagoland UYFL League Champions, UYFL National Championship. Runner-Up. 14-1 Overall, we finished as the league runner-up in a division with 10 teams and retained all 17 players we had from day one. No one quit the team. We also had 6 academic champions (all A’s in school throughout the season). No one wanted to join at first being that is was a new team and called kings so started with kids that never played and a line that was the smallest in the league and made them into champs. We lost all our games the first season but we did not give up molded the kids and bought into the Winning Youth Football season. We went 12-2 and were crowned League Champions. Needless to say, I was in a panic trying to figure it out. After hours of researching online I was lucky enough to find your website and system. We had lots of skeptical parents at first because most had not seen the single wing and didn’t understand it, but after we started winning that all changed. We used the single wing and wide tackle six defense exactly as taught in the book and we completely dominated both offense and defense. Our defense only allowed 26 points all season including the playoffs!! We were undefeated and won the 2014 Championship. Thank you for publishing your books and helping me look like I knew what I was doing as a first year coach.https://coachtourbusrental.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628d6d2f04512---Carmageddon-manual-pdf.pdf It goes without saying that I will be using the exact same system next year!! We used the both your offense and defense. Thanks for your help. I’m the Head Coach of the St. Albert Fury located in Alberta. Prior to this season my teams over the past two seasons went 4-10 averaging 6 points per game. This season we scored 464 points in nine games for an average of 51.6 points per game. We averaged 480 yards of total offense per game and 11 different players scored a touchdown. We ran the ball for over 4000 yards in nine games!!!! We had three five hundred yard rushers and one one-thousand yard rusher. We also had five other players with over 200 yards rushing. Themes the players chose were Heart, Family, Respect and Faith. This part of your material really made us better coaches and teach the players a life lesson. This was the funnest season the players, parents and coaches have ever had. The best part of the system was in the playoffs the teams we played knew exactly what was coming, but they COULDN’T stop us!!! I have had the pleasure of coaching 8-9 yr olds and 10-11 yr olds, for the last 8 years. I always ran the wishbone with some passing. I have had good teams and bad teams. At the beginning of this season we had a coaches meeting and I was bored with wishbone and since this is my last yr I wanted something different. One of my coaches suggested single wing and I read your book and decided to run your offense. My only regret is not running it from day one. Our regular season is over and we went 9-1 and finished as the highest scoring offense in the league. Well we made it to the championship again using your system with a few tweaks of our own but the majority of it came from your books and videos. We are really small (always are) compared to other teams size and numbers. Let me tell you about our season.AYHANCEVIK.COM/images_upload/files/command-line-tool-can-be-used-to-manually-refresh-group-policy.pdf This has been the best season for the Regulators in the Rookie division since the 09 season when we blew away everybody averaging 35 points on offense and only allowing 4 scores. This particular team has a bunch of great little kids with huge hearts. They had a tough first part of the season when their head coach, whom we fired, refused to follow the system and make everything about himself. The guy really had no clue what he was doing and was trying to be an NFL coach with 8-9 year olds. After getting in the hole 2 games and his refusal to follow our practice plans schemes etc we had to let him go. We basically started over in the eighth week of practice. I wanted to kick myself in the teeth for allowing it to go on so long. Just thought he would get it I guess. Anyway, we managed to salvage the season and went 4-4 in the toughest district in San Antonio Area. We should have been 7-1. We ended up making it in to the playoffs on a wildcard 7th seed. We lost a lot of good players that were connected to or some how influenced by the head coach and dropped from 28 to 18. We know all the base plays, jet, burst, spinner, mouse, super, omaha, a double spin series. Thanks for your time and we appreciate all that you have done for our organization through your literature and videos. We are Hancock Middle School from East Tennessee. We had our first undefeated football season this year. First sports team in school history to go undefeated. We were 10-0! Averaged 42 pts period game held opponents to 12 per game. We recovered an amazing 20 on-side kicks this season I’m saying this and we won the championship. I was told I didn’t know what I was doing and the offense would never work and no one runs it anymore and we will never beat anyone good and so on. Well I know I do what I do for the kids and maybe I’m being a little selfish here but it was very gratifying holding the championship trophy at the end. People just don’t get it coach at all.https://www.carolglassman.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628d6d3ecc690---carmanah-m650-manual.pdf I watch versions of the single wing every Saturday, Ohio State just won the National Championship game running the same plays we do. Any way thanks for the material it has really helped me to be a better coach and it pretty cool to be able to watch my Buckeye’s on Saturdays and say “hey I run that play” lol? The biggest win was the level of player engagement and playing time from top to bottom thanks to your system. We are in Chama, New Mexico in Northern New Mexico. The league we play in is out of Taos, NM. Winning the Championship on overtime with the last point on a 2 point conversion was the highpoint of our season. Every team we play had older and bigger kids. There is a coach in Santa Fe, NM that runs your same offense, he won the Championship there and his record was 8-0, then took his team to a tournament in Albuquerque, NM and won it there. We played against them this year and lost. He told us we were the only team that gave them trouble. I am glad you will be in Denver, I will make sure I make it. Thanks for your time. This year incorporating the 303, WYF practice planning, and focusing on the O-Line using the DVD series, the team went 9-2, and lost in the JMFA championship game.We have such a big responsibility to teach our players not only the fundamentals and X’s and O’s of football, but to make sure they develop a passion for the game. Over the years as an assistant coach, I’d seen one too many teams not fulfill their potential?.teams with a good nucleus of talent lose the majority of their games and count down the days to the end of the season. I promised myself that when the day came for me to call the plays, I would find the best youth football system that all players, coaches and even parents could get excited about. Winning Youth Football is the system I was looking for. I call it a “system”, because it’s more than just a playbook. It’s a philosophy. When used correctly, it’s like having the keys to a new Ferrari?.powerful and fun to drive!!!!https://emergent-partners.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628d6d42f0555---Carmax-car-manual.pdf Two seasons ago, I was asked to be the offensive coordinator of my son’s Jr. Peewee team. I knew I needed an offense that was easy to understand, easy to teach and easy for the kids to execute. Your single wing DVD’s were exactly what I needed. We averaged 30 points a game throughout the season. The kids loved it!!!! We had a chance to travel to the regional playoffs and stay in a hotel. Needless to say it was a successful season. I figured, “why wouldn’t it work with the older players as well?” As head coach, I implemented your single wing offense as well as your wide tackle 6 defense and we ended up going to our league championship game AGAIN!!!! Unfortunately this time, we came out on the losing end. It was apparent our opponents ran your single wing offense too!!!! Does your single wing offense work. To have both teams in the league championship running Dave Cesar’s offense should answer that question. It was a storybook season. We actually had kids crying at the end of the year party because they didn’t want the season to end!!!! Now THAT’s what it’s all about. Thanks Dave. Winning Youth Football has helped create memories that will last a lifetime. We had only two 9 year olds and the rest 8 year olds when most teams had far more 9 yo’s. We were very small, (only 2 X men linemen) and slow. We made good use of the very small minimum play kids on defense using the “Frog” method. It took some time for them to learn but they got their plays in. We ran power really well and although we had no break away backs our power always had positive yards. Towards the end of the year we got the wedge going pretty well. We had a tough time running counter because the left side of our O line was so small penetration killed us. We tried a balanced and even an unbalanced left to run counter but not much success. We lost the championship in a good game to a team we had beaten in OT in the regular season. Thanks for the help.AYBAR-GALLERY.COM/userfiles/files/conair-fb23rwr-manual.pdf As a first year Head Coach with 12 years as an Assistant Coach, I knew I needed to put my mark on a team that had not made the playoffs in five years. My assistants were skeptical at best, but as the points and wins kept piling up, they bought full in. An 8-0 regular season and a blowout in our first playoff game ended sadly by a loss in the Championship, due mostly to injuries in the game. The season was a success with all looking forward to the up coming season. Saturday was a great help and my son and I really enjoyed the session.Tim Gomperts, Baltimore, MD 9-1 I helped everywhere, I coached the backs, the o-line, and the defense as well. The head coach was in charge of our Defense. I was not the Head Coach by name but after 3-4 weeks into the season I started making the practice plans and running our practices. The Head Coach was simply too busy with work and didn’t have the time. It all went well and it was awesome that he had the confidence in me to go with it. We started out the season quite poorly 0-2 in our first two games. We started a new defense this year and there were definitely some severe mistakes by the coaches, (not going over special teams and punts in our first game), We won every game from then on out. We were able to mercy rule the next 4 teams (or just on this side of mercy rule to keep from a running clock). Over half of our 25 players were able to run the ball or receive passes. They had a blast. We ended up winning the state championship game 6-0, it was a tough game. Peewee State Champions We had a really successful season going 8-1, thanks for all you do. We were known as the single wing team, other parents would express how they wished their team did what we were doing and how we looked so disciplined and methodical. We ran, jet, trips, all those formations mostly for show with an unbalanced line, but 80 of our plays were wedge, buck wedge, 16 power, 18 power, 31 trap, and 16 and 18 Pass(we killed with those). I want to say thank you for helping us create a lifetime memory for all the boys and their families!! As you said in your books, we had a high scoring offense, averaging more than 35 pts per game and more than 200 rushing yards. We kept it very simple with only 6 plays from different formations and we have received compliments from the rest of the league for such a physical, hard to stop offense. Also, players love the system and are very proud of it. Most of them were starting to play football this year and they caught it very fast!!! All players got tons of plays in every game making them and their parents extremely happy. In our league, the reward for winning the regular season is that you get to play a “Toy Bowl” game against an all star team made up of the best 24 players from the other teams in the league. The champion team is always undersized in this game. Our kids played their hearts out and beat the all stars 16-6!! Thanks for the great book. Finished 12-1 lost in semifinals to the Gainsville Rattlers. I can say without question the Winning Youth Football program was the reason This offense was very successful in our program. At the JR Pee Wee level our team went to Disney. The Pee Wees became relevant. They were never shut out and did score a ton of points. Our High School coaches in town are happy with it because we are giving them plenty of kids who can block and tackle and want to play. Thanks for your help, it really brought a lot of success to us. We went undefeated again and won our city championship.Last year, my son played on a team here in the South County Football League (SCFL) in Spring, Texas, that went undefeated and won its ?Super Bowl? running your system down to the last detail. They were the Sophomore Steelers coached by Jeremy King. That season?and overall experience?convinced me your system is definitely the way to go. Your book is a masterpiece. It makes me want to get off the sidelines?at the moment I am just an interested dad. Please keep up the fantastic work. Having you visit our organization last year was extremely helpful. Every team finished at least 5-3 and two other teams made it to the finals. Thanks again for all of your help. We met briefly at your clinic in Boston last Winter. The WF Titans is a Pop Warner league, and I have been coaching football for 6 years. I coached a Mitey Mite team last year to a 1 and 8 losing season and became real frustrated in our results. I knew we had good kids (no game changers) and have struggled to put a winning formula in place. I started studying your system last December and decided to implement the system your book lays out. Additionally, I required my assistants to get the materials and make a commitment to our kids to be successful with the Single Wing. We finished our halfway mark yesterday and I wanted you to know we are 4 and 0 with the same core group of kids. We have put up over 800 yards of Offense and 120 points while holding our competition to 45 points (22 coming in our game yesterday against a very good opponent). From a Board view, we are trying to implement the system with our youngest age groups and have it become the standard for our association. Our Tiny Mite team implemented the system and they are also undefeated this season. The purpose of this note is to thank you for being an ambassador to youth football and provide a great success story for my team specifically. We finished 7-1. This is the 3rd year I have ran your system. I have been to the State Championship the last two years and well on our way to the 3rd. We have won 1 Championship and barely lost the Championship last year. Thanks for everything! We finished the season 8-0 scoring 272pts and allowing 72pts, our starters only allowed 32pts in 8 games. We had to play a lot of young kids due to a small and weak 8th grade class of 15 players but the single wing pulled us through once again. We put in the Jet series 2 weeks before the bowl game and we just tore the final 2 teams apart with it because they were only used to seeing our base UBLSW set. The went undefeated during the season and lost in the championship game to a team they beat during the season. In any event, I thought you would like to know that the single wing was doing well in the North. Just to keep you informed on how things are going for me here in the Northwest. I’m going on my 10th year coaching youth football, and 7th year running your system. Last year my 8th graders went undefeated and won the championship. Myself and another Parent decided to step up and take on this monster of running a program. I turned to your book for help, and just like your football book it didn’t let me down, thank you. So, I was the head coach of our only team this season, kids from 1-4th grade, (playing all 4th grade teams). We had about 6 starting 4th graders, my center was a 2nd grader, and started 2 other 3rd graders on the O-Dlines. Only one player had played the year before, all returning players had left because of the horrible season they had the year prior. (I tried to have that coach run your system and he said it didn’t work for his kids). Long story short, we went to the League Championship and won it 20-7 against a good Lincoln Abe’s team (John Kitna’s High School feeder team he started). Kitna’s youngest son was QB. We ran your system and exceeded my expatiations. I just wanted to say thanks again for all you do for children across this country!! Go single wingers!! Running a program is crazy!! Lots of work to do. Next year, I plan on having 2 teams, We need lots of coach training this upcoming year. Any plans on coming up to Seattle again? I own just about all of them. I credit you with setting me on the right track in my coaching career. I?ve coached for about 15 years but it wasn?t until 2 years ago that I embraced your system. Prior to that I had loads of success. Then, in my current league I was faced with having small, slow teams and a complete lack of success. (I guess anyone can win with talent!) I took one year off, committed to changing my approach and being open and fully committed to your system. Best thing I could have done. We have gone 7-1 in each of the last two seasons and made it to back to back championship games (losing both) in a very competitive league. And we?re still the slowest and smallest team. My son asked me to coach him 2 seasons ago and I had never been a head coach before. In two seasons we have gone 22-2, with one of those losses coming in the semi final game in Florida. We appreciate you and your system. After our 2013 season I started researching programs and stumbled upon Winning Youth Football. After numerous hours of researching the single wing and great feedback and comments about your program I decided I wanted to try it. I convinced the head coach to read the book and attend the clinic in Dallas. After attending the clinic we ordered the whole set and reviewed it over and over. Come season time in our brand new league we knew we had to come out strong. I think the best thing about this season was watching the other teams defense scrambling every game to try and stop us with no success. Here are our stats: 100 player retention, Undefeated, Superbowl Champions. 11 first downs allowed, 1 touchdown allowed (in the Superbowl). We took 1st place in one tournament and 2nd in another tournament giving us our only loss of the season. I can’t wait until next season to see if we can dominate like this again. Hopefully you hold a clinic in South Texas this year. For the 2015 season I am the football director for our local association. We have 7-10 teams (split in some age groups) and over the past few years have had 150-220 players. I have two other coaches that have been impressed with my implementation of your system and they have begun running it as well. Our association is the perennial losers. The guys that run your system manage to finish better than.500 and those that don’t are lucky to win a game or two. Thanks for all you do to help guys like me. This was the third year using your system and you were dead on in describing the learning curve. The first year we followed your system as close to the letter as possible and had great success that lead us to our first super bowl. The second year, we coached your system a little looser and had ups and downs but thanks to extra time and effort in developing team chemistry and character we were able to overcome adversity and peaked at the right time to win a second super bowl. Shortly after season two ended we started meeting and systematically broke down each phase of your program. We felt that the experience of our players and staff would benefit from the single wing 303 supplement because teams were making adjustments for our base plays. Throughout the spring and summer we focused on the fundamentals and especially developing team chemistry and character. We assigned specific coaching duties and let our coaches coach after training them up and spent a bunch of time letting the boys figure things out and ask questions. The end result was much greater than I would have ever expected. Our final stats were a perfect 10-0 season, 321 points scored and 14 points surrendered. The boys played football with a confidence that was far superior than their competition. The most amazing thing about this season is that we were able to use football as a tool to develop character and teach life lessons and create memories these boys will never forget. I can’t thank you enough for your investment and passion for youth football. Our boys went 7-2 and played for their 4th straight Championship. Our boys were half 5th graders and half six graders playing against a much bigger, stronger and faster team with half sixth graders and 7th graders.
