I've pulled the front and rear wheels, adjusted the clutch, and adjusted the throttle cables using this manual and it was great having the book right next to me while I was working.Unless you own multiple Harley models listed in here, you'll never use most of it. However!! The cost of this book is about the same as others that are written for just 1 model, so that in itself makes it a bargain. The diagrams and instructions are clear. The pictures are black and white, which can sometimes make it difficult to tell what's what, but the pictures are clear enough that if you look at them side-by-side with your bike, you can figure out what you're looking at. Some of the instructions could be more directing. For instance, some instructions refer to other instructions in the book (i.e. to access XYZ, you need to remove ABC following the instructions to remove ABC) without giving you a page number to go to. It's easy enough to find the references by flipping to the index, but it makes for a lot of back-and-forth if you're not already familiar with the book. In this respect, I would have given it a 3. Now, when you get into electrical problems, this is where the money is. The book comes with a CD that includes how to read the DTCs (if applicable) and wiring schematics. Overall, I'm FAR more confident tinkering on my bike with this book than simply trying to youtube everything. Also the book helps you identify the actual name of certain parts, which makes researching replacement parts easier. If you're looking do intermediate and advanced repairs and have some basic knowledge of what a wrench is - then this book is worth the investment. As for me, my local dealership is always backlogged with repairs so this saves me time and money. I've noticed that although it tends to be a bit segmented in some of the instructions, the instructions are thorough and well written.I used this manual and flow charts on the included CD and found my problem in a matter of minutes. Ordered a new fuel pump from the Harley dealer with needed gaskets to install and was running in short order.
