Mercedes seems to be the worst case of 3 or 4K fewer miles making a several hundred dollar price differential. A near 40K mileage difference and a car that looks this good may be the premium difference we see. Also, the near 14K is the ask, so the purchase has an opportunity to be some less than that. I’ve gone through 78 cars now and my favorite manual transmission car was my 1995 E 36 M3. Having driven this one, I’d say this car has a the smoothest shifting experience. The throws are rubbery and super long, and the clutch has a very vague feel to it, from the car I drove. I am rarely ever displeased with a manual transmission vehicle, but in this instance and the fact that it was a Benz, It is better suited to the automatic. Speaking of work, the aftermarket for such a gearbox totally sucks. There’s no good options in the aftermarket for a clutch and certainly no short shift kit or knob replacement that could make the shifting better. Also, no mods for the engine, so it’ll always remain mediocre and stock. If you don’t give a crap about any of the above and just want a Benz to drive around with a 3rd pedal, go ahead and get it. While handling is improved over the Luxury model, ride comfort is somewhat diminished and cabin noise levels see a slight increase. The 3.5-liter V6 packs a bit more punch than the base engine, but does not offer a manual transmission, saddled instead with a seven-speed automatic with manual shift feature.Add in a six-gigabyte storage unit for uploading songs, voice control and PCMCIA slot, and the C-Class delivers one of the most advanced audio systems in its class. Optional leather seating and tasteful wood inlays surround the cabin, but the power-extendable LCD display screen and multifunctional central controller are far from traditional. The front seats are wide and somewhat flat, which is fine for the Luxury model but definitely lacking in the support that would be appropriate for the Sport. The optional panoramic glass sunroof opens the C-Class interior, making it feel larger and more airy. A few oddities stand out, namely the less-than-intuitive steering-wheel controls for the information screens and audio system. Following the styling of the elegant S-Class, the C-Class appears more on design’s cutting edge. A long wheelbase and body give the car a substantial road presence as well as adult-sized interior dimensions. Mercedes-Benz loyalists will quickly notice the Sport model’s transference of the three-pointed Mercedes-Benz star from the hood to the grille, a first for a Mercedes-Benz sedan. Racy alloy wheels, a lowered suspension and AMG-inspired lower bodywork complete the Sport model’s aggressive look. The C300 Sport features a six-speed manual transmission, while the 300 Luxury and 350 Sport have a seven-speed automatic. With 228-horsepower and ample torque, this engine delivers a nice balance between fuel economy and performance, taking only 7.1 seconds to go from zero to 60 miles per hour.A comparably equipped Audi A4 costs about the same but offers features not available on the C-Class, while a loaded Infiniti G37 also costs slightly less and has more horsepower than the C350. I was approved thru my credit union at a lower rate than what Carvana offered and my credit union mailed me my check. Carvana sold the vehicle while I was processing my purchase and I ended up buying another truck locally at a dealer. On Black Friday I tried to give them another chance and tried to purchase a Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen for my son. I had already provided Carvana with my credit union information, account, as well as authorized them to verify my fund for both the deposit and the balance. So I said no problem, in the morning, we can get on a 3 way call and speak to both my bank and my credit union and they can provide verification. I even offered, a screen shot of my credit union account, showing my loan was already funded via a check and my first payment was due in January, but they still said this was not acceptable. It seems they make it hard for you to complete a transaction with a discount and wanted to revert back to a no discount transaction stating there was not enough time to verify funds (really. I didn't set up delivery for 2 weeks exactly because I knew it would take time for my credit union to mail me a check). Never again. I requested they cancel my order. Their prices are the same as car dealerships and as much as some folks think dealerships are tough to deal with, Carvana employs people who know nothing about customer service. There is no advantage in buying from them than from a dealership. In fact I would much rather deal with real people whom I can evaluate if they are trustworthy and be able to choose to do business with them or not. The fact that they are an internet dealership only empowers them to hide in anonymity when they try to treat you unscrupulously.
