Buy Ford Service Manuals | Full EPubI didn't know what was what, people say nasty things about the Chilton's Manual just as much as they say nasty things about the Hanyes Manual. My dad was a mechanic so I was used to using a Chilton. But when I bought my first car I wound up getting a Haynes manual. So which is better? FOR THE LADY'S. In my opinion it depends on your level of experience working on vehicles. If you have never troubleshooted an engine or vehicle problem GO WITH A HAYNES. The reason why I am saying that is that the Haynes has a TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE at the front of the book, the Haynes is great for ease of learning about your vehicle and I recommend it for the lady's and the shade tree mechanics. It has grainy black.Contains information I was unable to find onlineThat said, it does cover the basic maintenance features of the Ford Ranger - and that's really all I wanted it for. Detailed information about a significant service overhaul, I'd probably get from one of the on-line DIY subscription databases.I bought a Ford 9N recently so I wanted to have a service manual. I grew up in the world of Chilton and Haynes manuals for cars, this manual is far superior to either of those. Great if you're a newbie to tractors like I am.Includes thorough vehicle coverage apart from the specific exclusion noted)Just wanted to say it is in very good condition.The instructions are always clear, and the photographs detailed and plentiful. Anyone that has the necessary tools can provide their own maintenance at a fraction of the cost of having a professional do it. And with the manual, you are able to determine which tools and supplies you do need before you start. Which is inestimably more important, since it's very inconvenient having to run to the hardware store to get a specialized snap ring halfway through the job. Most importantly is with the manual you have the confidence to tackle work you wouldn't have attempted otherwise.
