Documents can be up to 216 mm wide and 297 mm long. (DCP-120C and DCP-340CW only) To use the scanner glass, the ADF must be empty. Recommended Paper To get the best print quality, we suggest using Brother paper. (See table below.) If Brother paper is not available in your country, we recommend testing various papers before purchasing large quantities. Press and slide the paper side guide to fit the paper width. Paper Side Guide Pull out the paper support and unfold the paper support flap. Gently insert the paper into the paper tray print side down and the leading edge (top of the paper) in first. Check that the paper is flat in the tray and below the maximum paper mark. Make sure you do a test print first. To prevent possible damage to the feeding mechanism, do not use the types of envelopes shown below.Slide the paper side guide to fit the width of the envelopes. The file is loaded to the machine, and installing to the flash ROM starts. If not, set it as a default printer. If not, set it as a default printer. If they are the latest version, there is no need to install the firmware. If they are not, be sure to install the firmware to the machine as described in “8.1.2 Installing firmware”. They are included in the main firmware. When connecting the options to the machine and turning on the power switch, the firmwares of these options will be updated with the main firmware version of the machine. The file is loaded to the machine, and installing to the flash ROM starts. Using maintenance mode functions, you can conduct operational checks of sensors or test printing, display the log information or error codes, and change the worker switches (WSW) etc. However, end users are allowed to use some of these functions under the guidance of service personnel over the phone. End users can only use the functions shaded in the table “1.2 List of Maintenance Mode Functions”. Confidential. Entering function code 01 initializes most EEPROM areas. Entering function code 91 initializes only the specified areas as shown in the table below. The scanned pages of the documents fed by the ADF are counted and the result is displayed on the LCD.
