As for the sonic quality it is excellent and I expect nothing less from Roland. I was able to program 10 different settings, that were wildly different, and made it sound like I brought 4 different basses with me, it was that dramatic. Getting there was another story. In manual mode it wasn't difficult to discover the various potentials of the effects in combination. Writing and saving patches was another story. The manual is poorly written, it lets this fine product down. After a few baffling weeks I developed my own understanding and I was confident I could change patches on the fly in program mode. I'm glad I started early learning the ins and outs otherwise there would have been dramas once I got on the road.
