There Are No User Serviceable Parts Inside. Repair Should Be Done By Authorized Service Personnel! Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Do not place cord, plugs, or brewer in water or liquid. Your BUNN coffee brewer has a specially designed tank to keep the water at the proper temperature. This constant supply of hot water assures the correct method of brewing coffee, in less than three minutes. Slide an empty brew funnel into the brewer under the warmer switch and place an empty decanter on the warmer. Pour two pitchers of water (filled to the 48 oz line) into the screened area on top of the brewer. Both require a good recipe. Proper coffee making needs quality equipment to precisely control water temperature, volume, and brew time. The BUNN coffee brewer assures consistency in your recipe by controlling all of these elements. Occasionally, wipe the outside of the brewer including the area above the funnel with a damp cloth. (The brew funnel and decanter are top-rack dishwasher safe.) Periodically, you should delime the brewer to clear any deposits that may have accumulated due to impurities in the water source. MakerMike 5.0 out of 5 stars After going through three coffee makers in ten years and having all of them develop that nasty tangy bitter coffee flavor, no matter how much vinegar we ran through them or how much we scrubbed them I did some significant research. What I found out that the bitter flavor comes from the plastic water reservoir where the water is heated.www.easyhairstyler.com/tmp/phprHqJt6' to '/home/www/happyhair/easyhairstyler.com/htdocs/www/img/files/Drake-R8E-User-Manual.pdf I know I didn't believe that either but multiple people on several websites claimed those cheep water tank are the cause. If you think about it like I did you will realize that although most dinner or restaurant cups of coffee are not that great, the one thing they have in common is that they don't taste tangy. This is because they use commercial grade equipment to make it that has a stainless water reservoir. Now knowing what the cause was I commenced searching for an all stainless coffee maker for home use.Bunn the makers of this model in fact have several home versions and almost all of them seem to develop leaks after a few years. So we made the decision to just pay a few extra bucks and get a full blown commercial coffee maker and we haven't looked back. Some reviews on this maker worry about the fact that it stays on all the time, when you think about it though, a Kureg keeps its water hot all the time too unless you tell it not too and then you'll end up waiting ten minutes to make coffee. What my wife and I did was purchase a home automation switch to go with our Wink hub and programmed a robot to run it on a schedule. The only real reason we had to do this was because the burner can get left on and kill a carafe if you forget. The bottom line is that in as little as three minutes this thing will have a cup of super smooth coffee ready, not even a Kureg can beat that really, especially when that's 12 cups of coffee, not one. So if you love coffee and like me you bleed dark roast, this maker will not disappoint you. Downsides are that it doesn't come with any carafe's and the filter basket is plastic. Most reviews agreed that the coffee doesn't spend enough time in the filter basket to develop a taste but we still went ahead and bought the optional stainless filter basket anyway. This does the trick. We like the two heat pads. My only complaint is if you pull out the pot while filling (happens every week) the stream doesn't stop. Some makers will cut off if this happens.Didn't work from get go. Extended warranty doesn't kick in until after manufacturer warranty expires. Very disappointing.I hope this one does too!I was shocked when I opened the box. Just so you are aware when you purchase this item.In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. Snap the decanter cover in the decanter and place the decanter on the warmer beneath the brew funnel. Place the lighted warmer switch in the “ON” position. Page 8 COFFEE FUNDAMENTALS Brewing delicious coffee is similar to cooking any favorite food. Both require a good recipe. Proper coffee-making needs quality equipment to precisely control water temperature, volume, and brew time. The only variables remaining in the recipe are the grind and amount of coffee used. The amount of ground coffee is generally determined by the grind. Page 9 ROUTINE CLEANING Rinsing the brew funnel and decanter after each use is the only routine cleaning required. Occasionally, wipe the outside of the brewer including the area above the funnel with a damp cloth. (The brew funnel, hot water funnel and decanter are top rack dishwasher safe.
