How seriously you take these responsibilities can be the difference between life and death. There is no excuse for careless or abusive handling of any firearm. At all times handle this firearm and all other firearms with intense respect for their power and potential danger. Please read and understand all of the cautions, warnings, notices, proper handling procedures and instructions outlined in this owner’s manual before using your new firearm. Be extremely alert and aware of all persons and property within the range of your ammunition. Mechanical “safeties” are designed to place your firearm in a safer status, and no guarantee can be made that the firearm will not fire even if the “safety” is in the on safe position. Mechanical “safeties” merely aid safe gun handling and are no excuse for pointing your firearm’s muzzle in an unsafe direction.Always treat this firearm with the respect due a loaded, ready-to-fire firearm. Remember, merely removing the magazine does not mean the chamber is unloaded.http://mistlondon.com/userfiles/conia-ca24001-manual.xml

Always keep the chamber empty and the “safety” in the on safe position unless shooting is imminent. Wear hearing protection (shooting earplugs or muffs) to guard against such damage. Allow proper distance (eye relief) between a scope and your eye when firing a scoped rifle, shotgun or pistol. Do not use unorthodox shooting methods that could cause the rearward travel of the slide or bolt of a firearm to contact your eyes, face or hands. Always keep a safe distance between the muzzle of your firearm and any persons nearby, as muzzle blast, debris and ejecting shells could inflict serious injury. Be extremely careful while hunting or during any shooting activity to avoid dropping any firearm. The following rules should always be observed by you and those you hunt with. Always make certain that the stand being used is safe and stable. Always make certain that your firearm is unloaded when it is being taken up and down from the stand. Always make certain that your firearm is not dropped from the stand, or dropped while it is being taken up or down from the stand. Store all firearms in secure, locked cases or a gun safe. Keep your firearm unloaded when not in use. It only takes a small obstruction to cause dangerously increased pressures that can damage your firearm and cause serious injury to yourself and others. Rotate the ejection area of the firearm away from you, carefully open the action and remove the shell from the chamber. If the primer is indented, the defective shell should be disposed of in a way that cannot cause harm. If the primer is not indented, your firearm should be examined by a qualified gunsmith and the cause of the malfunction corrected before further use. Glance down the barrel to make sure that no obstructions remain in the barrel. Completely clear the barrel before loading and firing again. Failure to follow these instructions can cause extensive damage to your firearm and possible serious injury to yourself and others.http://www.artstore.com.br/editor_imagens/conia-ca12003-manual.xml Store all shells of different gauges in completely separate and well-marked containers. Never store shells of mixed gauges in a common container or in your pockets. It is your responsibility to read and heed all warnings in this owner’s manual and on ammunition boxes.Nevertheless, we can assume no liability for incidents which occur through the use of shells of nonstandard dimensions or which develop pressures in excess of commercially available ammunition which has been loaded in accordance with standards established by the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI). Never shoot at water or hard objects. If you observe other shooters violating any of these safety precautions, politely suggest safer handling practices. Keep ammunition away from the cleaning location. Never test the mechanical function of any firearm with live ammunition. Encourage enrollment in hunting and shooting safety courses. We assume no liability for incidents which occur when unsafe or improper firearm accessories or ammunition combinations are used. Browning firearms should be serviced by a Browning Recommended Service Center or by our Service Facility in Arnold, Missouri. We assume no responsibility for injuries suffered or caused by unauthorized servicing, alterations or modifications of Browning firearms. Browning firearms are designed and engineered to meet stringent safety standards. Browning is not responsible for personal injuries or property damage caused by alterations to a firearm. This includes the incorporation of aftermarket parts or components that may or may not satisfy Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI) standards (for example, an aftermarket trigger system may not satisfy SAAMI minimum trigger pull standards, etc.) or may create other dangerous conditions.http://www.raumboerse-luzern.ch/mieten/dp1us-manual These conditions may or may not be apparent to the user (for example, installing an aftermarket barrel may have the effect of altering critical firearm dimensions, including headspace, and may create an unsafe firing condition, etc.). Aftermarket parts or components that do not satisfy SAAMI standards, or that could create other dangerous conditions, should not be used. It is in a case that has a Browning Medallion inside. There are three screw in barrel weights for it and the adapter for them. Also a wooden forend that comes off so the weight adapter can be mounted There is also a folding screw driver in the box that looks to be part of the set. There is a bullet block in the box that also looks to be part of the set. There is only one magazine with the pistol. Condition is superb about 99% with one small rust spot under the forend wood about the size of a head of a pin. Anyone care to venture a guess as to the value of the gun and cased set? Will maybe wait to see what the price is that it is offered to me. The manual safety can be manipulated into a position where it permits a partial hammer fall (when the trigger is pulled). Pressing on the safety lever recocks the hammer. So it is possible to do dry-firing without any danger of the firing pin contacting the chamber end of the barrel.http://acropolissa.com/images/canon-fc220s-manual.pdf It is somewhat more difficult to get the lever into the 'normal' position than into the 'dry-fire' position, but a little practice will overcome that. This served to alter the path of ejected empty cases (which otherwise tended to shower on the shooter to your immediate right). I did observe that with the pin in place, I suffered more empty cases being trapped by the slide (stove-pipe) - not a lot more, just more than without the pin. A Medalist was my first pistol, so I have a particular affection for them. Mike T. It shoots very well, as good as my Walther GSP. I took it to the range about an hour after buying it. Put about 100 rounds through it. Nothing outside the 7 ring on a B-16 pistol target at 15 yards. I am impressed to say the least. The cased gun was complete.I took the bullet block out to clean it and forgot to put it back in. I do need an owner's manual.does anyone know where to get one. The original key is in the cellophane below where the bullet block is supposed to be.Good luck with it (you lucky dog)! I was looking for replacement mags for my Medalist, and found your post. I have my manual from 1973, and would be glad to scan it to a.pdf and email it to you. Hope you've enjoyed your Medalist. How is the Browning Buckmark different from the Medalist. How is the Browning Buckmark different from the Medalist. Not even a comparison. Colt MT woodsman, Early Hammerli 208, etc. I even have a ziegenhahn:). Greg. You can get there by clicking on that link right there at the top of the page. If anyone has one of these I could purchase, or know where one is, I would be deeply thankful! So do copies. GB would be my first check. David I will give them a call in the morning. This Medalist I have is complete with all the tools etc.The pistol itself is almost pristine, altho the case has some defects. I would like to complete the package with an original manual. Thanks again! The nagazine spring may be too weak to get the last round up high enough to feed into the chamber before the slide comes ahead Login to post Adjustable sights ar a must for any accurate shooting with a pistol, also use only the standard velocity ammo or the target ammo.Go to a gun shop and ask. They list the Remington model 12 as one of the one's they have. It will be a photo copy of the original owners manual. The nagazine spring may be too weak to get the last round up high enough to feed into the chamber before the slide comes aheadAnswer questions, earn points and help others. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. As an interesting aside. Donald Trump's son visited the show and spent a couple of hours or more conversing with dealers and attendees.A quick Google look for both items turned up a number of online sources for the Medalist manual. The magazines are a bit more elusive (especially factory original), though I think Triple K still carries them for the Medalist, Challenger, and Nomad pistols. I also read somewhere that Beretta Neos magazines can be converted to work in the Medalist though I have no first knowledge of what modifications are necessary for such a conversion.Do you have any web site info on the online sources you found. The owner's manual doesn't have to be original. Other questions: there are four recesses in the velvet-lined case, barrel weights occupy three of them. Any idea what was supposed to fit in the fourth recess, now apparently missing. Anyone know how it's done?Found this in the manual as to your question on dry firing: This accomplished by a hook on the rear end of the Safety catching a pin that protrudes from the side of the Hammer. To operate in this mode, the Safety is pushed forward in it's elongated Retaining Pin hole. The Hammer can then be recocked by rotating the rear end of the Safety downward. Click to expand. Sorry for the extra clutter.faradayfinder.com/ckfinder/userfiles/files/Disomat-T-Manual.pdf I'm out of town and most photos are on another computer. It's held in place by friction and a lot of folks remove it because it can cause malfs by knocking the case back toward the open chamber. You engage the dry fire by unloading, pushing the safety forward which sets the trigger. It does not engage the firing pin at all and can be used over and over without moving the slide. I had one, sold it, and have missed it. The screwdriver was a flat affair that folded up.This is a field service manual so it has a little more detail. I'm sure you are aware how hard these books are to come by. I used to collect those wonderful li'l takedown 22s, and was very excited that someone had written a book specific to that model. My guns are long gone, so might as well see if anyone else can use the book. It's an excellent source of information detailing serial numbers, production years, and variances of the models. I got this from Homer's ad that he always ran in the Shotgun News, and he inscribed the inside cover to me, indicating First Edition. As you may be aware, this work was later added to and published in hardcover, editions of which sell in the hundreds of dollars. Condition is good- it has been read and enjoyed, but I take.Comes as pictured with the original mailing envelope with Homer's label.
