Does anyone know where she can get a free on line manual. I know that there is one available for my Brother, but I can't seem to find one for hers. Thank you. Lucy I guess I'd hope a new parent company (does anyone know what company it is?) could distribute and support it much more effectively. I was kinda searching around for some assurance that I made the right choice and instead stumbled on this thread. I'm not sure whether it's even possible to switch my order at this point, the dealer (KWA Appliances) does sell both brands so it might be doable. I chose the Capital ostensibly because the wok grate that seemed more like a more proper wok setup to me than sitting the wok so low on the element, the Capital seems like it would be a bit easier to clean though I'm getting that mostly from watching videos online, and (lamely) because I like the way the flame on the donut burner looks. But I also probably chose it in large part because I had read Trevor's years of endorsements here in the past. But if down the road it has an issue and I can't get a part or something.that's a bit alarming. I, too, am a little worried about that post. The CAD measurements all work out but we were going to bring it up in our building meeting and were prepared to add a couple feet to the garage. Good to see Everyones progress. I have read many houzz post about backsplash anxiety and boy is it real. Once it was time to choose the tile, it just became to much. I needed to back off for awhile. I have picked an antique white arabesque, that i hope will be installed someday? Haha. Hoping for a Christmas miracle. Megs1030 sorry I didn't respond earlier, but yes my counters are white macaubas and I love them. Some changes are needed to the electric and small things to be fixed. My previous kitchen was very small and unorganized, so cooking in this kitchen is a pleasure. The first time cooking a large meal I actually had a flash back to Home Economics, from high school.Haha. Waverly and Casa can't wait to see your kitchens. Rekha your kitchen is smooth and handsome. Beautiful kitchen. E.A. hang in there, it will get done.Ours was supposed to be done in July. It has been a long stinky affair, but it should be done soon and I love my kitchen..See More Kitchen Small Appliance Storage - Suggestions. Q Comments (50) Perhaps it’s time to cull. For example, you have a crockpot, an Instapot, 3 small crockpots, and a 3-dish slow cooker. You have a regular blender and a Ninja blender. This was one of my first thoughts too. With space at a premium, do bring out the similar small appliances and give them a good look-over. Shannon listed the very things I was going to say -- these things are similar. I know you talked about using so many items when ALL the family comes over, but let me ask a couple questions about that: - How often in the last year have ALL those people come over? - If you hadn't had those crock pots, etc.For example, some things cooked in the oven. Storing these things is a problem for you. Think through all your options. A small walk in pantry seems right.Crock pots can simmer away. And be washed there. I was thinking the same thing. It's an expensive choice and wouldn't be used all that often. And those large crock pots would still have to be carried out to the large sink in the main kitchen. Stealing a picture from an above poster. I'm planning something similar in my new kitchen. My mom has something similar, and one of the shelves even pulls out so she can work with her Kitchen Aid mixer ON the shelf. So, yeah, this is my vote for best choice. Upthread I meant to say that my mother in law just got a handheld electric can opener. She has arthritis and loves it.http://www.peteleco.com.br/userfiles/computer-networks-a-systems-approach-4th-edition-solutions-manual-pdf.xml Just pointing out: More and more cans have pull-tops, so I find myself using the can opener less and less. Obviously, you'd never get rid of your can opener. This picture gives me three thoughts: - Definitely think about appliance weight. In this picture, I notice that the heavy Kitchen Aid and a deep fryer are stored on the top shelf. Do consider that this company offers many attachments that take the place of other small appliances. For example, they make an ice cream maker attachment, which could eliminate that Cuisinart ice cream maker. - I love that these shelves are adjustable. Small appliances come and go, and I like that the owner was able to go with one shallow shelf for cutting boards. Flexibility is a huge plus. When storing big heavy appliances try to store the most used ones at arm reach level without bending too much. I would also recommend that you go through your home and instead of trying to decide if you have too much clothing or unused appliances or unused dishes, pots, pans, things, you mark everything you don't use daily, wait one year and go through your home again. Good advice. I've been clearing things out, and I really haven't missed anything I've given away..See More yinyang2204 12 years ago Hope this helps We want to hear and see everything about it. If your Brother VX-1120 isn't working properly or you aren't happy with the quality of the stitching, simple troubleshooting can allow to you to quickly identify and solve the problem. If the thread is tangled or knotted, it may not run smoothly through the machine and could snap or break while you are sewing. Untangle the thread to solve this problem. This exposes the bobbin case. Remove the bobbin case and ensure that the bobbin thread is not tangled. If the bobbin is tangled and knotted, unwind the thread and refill the bobbin. Replace the bobbin case and shuttle cover before you continue sewing.www.gulfstreamkelowna.com/files/Dm8-230R-Manual.pdf If the thread tension is too high, the thread may snap during sewing. The thread tension knob is located above and to the right of the sewing machine needle. Reduce the setting by one or two numbers to decrease the tension, keeping in mind that a setting of four or five is sufficient for most fabrics. Hold the needle straight up in front of you and look for any damage or bent areas in the needle. If the tip appears worn or dull or if the needle is warped, replace it to resolve the issue. Some fabrics, such as denim or leather, require special needles. Replace the needle, if necessary. If the needle moves noticeably or falls out of the machine, it is not properly installed which can cause uneven stitching. Push the needle firmly into place and tighten the needle clamp screw to the right of the needle until the needle does not wiggle back and forth. Adjust the thread tension by one number at a time and stitch on a piece of scrap fabric until you are satisfied with the setting. Feed dogs are the metal treads below the needle which pull the fabric along as you sew. Remove the screws on the needle plate--the metal piece located beneath the needle--with a coin and lift the plate gently away from the machine. Clean the feed dogs with a stiff brush to remove any lint, hair or scraps of fabric. Create one here. Brother VX-1120 Sewing Machines: Users Manual. The threading method is simple, although if you just purchased your first sewing machine and are attempting to thread it for the first time, it may not seem that way. Instructions Winding the Bobbin 1. Place a spool of thread over the spool pin, which is a vertical spoke located at the back-right of the top of the sewing machine. 2. Take the end of the thread from the spool and carry it left along the top of the machine and around the bobbin winding tension disc, which resembles a small button. 3. Pass the end of the thread through the small hole in the side of an empty bobbin, threading from the inside. Push the bobbin down onto the bobbin winding shaft, which is a small metal spoke at the front-right of the top of the sewing machine. 4. Click the bobbin over to the right, then manually twist it in a clockwise direction until you hear the spring on the bobbin shaft click into place. 5. While pinching the end of the thread that is coming out of the hole in the side of the bobbin, slowly press your foot down on the foot controller so that the thread from the spool winds around the bobbin. Let go of the thread end and continue pressing until the machine stops automatically, which means the bobbin is full, or when the bobbin has as much thread as you need for your project. 6. Cut the thread connecting the bobbin and the spool, and trim the thread end coming out of the hole in the side of the bobbin. Click the bobbin over to the left and remove it from the bobbin shaft. The Lower Thread 7. Turn the balance wheel (the disc at the top of the right side of the sewing machine) toward you to raise the needle to its highest point. Lift the presser foot with the lever located behind the needle shaft. Remove the extension table, if it is attached. 8. Open the shuttle cover, a small door located on the front of the sewing machine, underneath the needle. Remove the bobbin case, which you see held in the center of the shuttle race, by pulling the hinged latch on the front of it. 9. Pull about 4 inches of thread from the bobbin and press the bobbin into the bobbin case so that it will turn clockwise when you pull on the thread end. Slide the thread into the slot on the side of the bobbin case, over the tiny tension spring and into the delivery eye. 10. Hold the bobbin case by its latch so that the metal finger is pointing upward. The metal finger should fit into a vertical notch at the top of the shuttle race, and the bobbin case should be held securely in place. 11. Close the shuttle cover. The Upper Thread 12. Rotate the balance wheel toward you until you see the take-up lever raised to its highest position. The take-up lever has a metal loop at the end of a narrow spoke, and it will emerge from the top of the thread guide, the vertical slit at the front of the machine above the needle. 13. Take the end of the thread from the spool and take it left along the top of the sewing machine, around the rear thread guide, then toward yourself and around the front thread guide. 14. Take the thread down the front of the machine and from right to left around the tension control dial, which is the round knob to the right of the needle. Pull the end of the thread so that the part that passes around the tension control dial is taut and flush with the front of the machine. You should feel the thread slip between the two tension discs. 15. Carry the end of the thread upward from the tension control dial and through the eyelet at the end of the take-up lever.gunthermele.com/userfiles/files/Dm780-Manuale-Italiano.pdf Bring the thread downward and hook it behind the thread guide, which is a small wire loop at the top of the needle. Insert the thread end through the eye of the needle from front to back. 16. Pull a tail of about 4 inches through the needle and pinch the end of it with your left fingers. Turn the balance wheel toward you with your right hand until you see the needle lower through the needle plate then rise back up again. You should see the lower thread looped around the upper thread. Untangle it and pull both thread ends until they have approximately 6-inch long tails. The toe of the foot is narrow More The foot just glides across the surface More This spring-loaded foot helps avoid skipped stitches as the needle moves up and down with the foot. Simply place cord(s) in the foot and sew over them for a simple couching method. More A VERY specialised tool, all this foot does is put bindings around the cut edge of the fabric More It is equipped with a small funnel to fold More It’s absolutely convenient and time-saving, as this eliminates the extra step of gathering a valance first More When sewing pintucks, it is used with a double needle. When I go even a little fast with the peddle, it gets worse. I have a regular sized needle working on cottony, thinner fabrics, but regardless of the project, it gets wonky. I have that set around 1, which somehow seems the best setting most of the time. What to do!!??? Ideas??My crappy old sewing machine does the same thing frequently. Is it a drop in bobbin or a side load?? Side load bobbins tend to be a little more finicky than the drop in kind. Have you checked your tension. Is your presser foot down. Is your bobbin in the correct position (fully locked in?) This is usually a bobbin tension issueMaybe the tension's messed up. I used to take mine to an elderly man who knew all about sewing machines.Tension is most often the problem, either at the bobbin or from the spool. At least, that's what I see with my old Brother. Lubricating as per the manual is also very important. Also you may have a burr on the needle, or presser plate. Inspect it all carefully. Also make sure your bobbin is the right size and is in the correct way - just this morning I put the bobbin in upside down (unwinding clockwise when it should have been counterclockwise) and that caused issues. Your tension should be closer to 3 or 4 for most projects. Hope this helps!I wish I still had my Brother machine. I loved it.Please Log in to subscribe.Register to confirm your address. In general, machines that are classed as “Very Basic” tend to have only the bare minimum of features needed for sewing and are best suited for those who only sew occasionally, or who are only just learning to sew and do not need more than the most essential features. Full-size machines are usually wider than compact machines and this gives you slightly more space to manoeuvre the fabric around the needle area. Reverse stitches, used for securing the thread in the fabric at the beginning and end of a stitching line, are created with a reverse lever. There are no special guides for threading on this model and the needle threading is manual. If you already have presser feet that are compatible with this type of shank from a previous sewing machine, then in many cases you will be able to use the same presser feet on this model as well. To be sure that presser feet can be used on different machines, or when buying new presser feet and other parts and accessories, you should always check that they are compatible with your specific machine number. So for this machine you will need parts and accessories compatible with make and model Brother LS2125i. The buttonhole process is a 4 Step Buttonhole. 4 step buttonholes are created in stages and are a more manual process than 1 step buttonholes. The stitch length on this model is adjusted by stitch selection only. The stitch width on this machine is adjusted by stitch selection only. On many machines, these results will only be achieved with the correct needle and thread combination, so specialty needles and threads may need to be purchased separately and may not be supplied with your machine. You should consult the manual for your machine to ensure that the machine is set up correctly when sewing different fabrics, and always sew test samples to get the best possible stitch quality and to achieve perfectly balanced tension.
