Brother PED-Basic Software for Downloading Embroidery Designs Brother SE400 Review Blank Memory Card for the Brother SE400 Achei um pouco caro e nao gostaria de fazer um investimento em algo que eu talvez nao venha a usa-lo de fato. Contudo ela veio faltando alguns itens e um deles e o manual.I looked it up and saw to get type L bobbins for pre-wound with 60 weight thread. I recently took my machine in because the tension seems wrong because the bobbin thread is showing thru my design. They said I am using the wrong bobbin and thread weight. I have used easily a 1,000 bobbins and this just started. But if I’m traveling or otherwise away from the computer, it could take me a few days. Michael Reed 5.0 out of 5 stars I did not know what sewing machine to get so I just read a lot of reviews and went with this one. When she opened it up she loved it.Well she has made 3 baby dresses so far( I think they call them pillow case dresses) and 3 pair of shoes to match. I asked her several times does she like the machine, and she simple says she loves it!!! It is not loud either. I can watch TV while she is about 10 feet away (in the same room) with no interference with my hearing the TV. Believe it or not I even used it. To get ready for the big game (Alabama fan here, Roll Tide) I made 10 rally rags. Hounds tooth fabric on one side and a red alabama print on the other side. Sewed them right sides in, then reversed them insides to out. Put a decorative stitch on the edges. They turned out great. (sorry for improper sewing terms here). Of course my sewing was not the best (lol) but they are cool looking. It was a hit at the championship party we went to (tried to insert a video, if it worked). So it is easy enough that I could use, but had everything My wife needs to do her stuff. I love the easy threading and automatic needle threader. I also bought her the card reader, but she has not used it as of yet. Now she says she wants a serger, so I am here at Amazon looking at the Brother Serger. All in all, I would highly recommend this. MikeAfter my ghetto singer died after 15yrs. It was my moms when I was a kid. I needed it for basic sewing. I liked the high tech in it. So I purchased it. What a dream. It threads it self no bobbin issues. I can adjust the speed.I taught myself as a kid. And lets just say it was bad. With this Machine it looks like I have been sewing for years. That people spend thousands on, and I custom design my own. Now I make my own clothes. I am about to tackle my boys new quilts and bedding. I had not had the time to embroider. So tonight I went through the CD and learned. In one hour after playing around with the designs and test sewing. I just hook the design up and walk away and it's done. It sews fast and no fuss. Not hard to learn at all. I even used the regular needle. I had the right heavier needle but I felt it was leaving a bit too much heavy needle marks. I leave the tension on 3, the machine recomends 4. Between 3 and 4 it is a steady average. Now I can't wait to start embroidering towels and dresses for my baby. It opened a whole new dimention. Infact everyone gets homemade beautiful embroidered towels for christmas this year. My 1 complaint. No USB, I find the designs I like are well not compatiable. There is a card set you have to buy seperate and now I will be purchasing to see about downloading into. Some people say 4x4 is the largest. So if I ever want to go pro and be bigger then Ill have to upgrade to a bigger machine. This machine is so easy my daughter who is 9 is using it. My mother in laws 20yr kenmore froze up and I talked her into geting one like mine. Well I took it over and showe dher how it works. ( she is non computer savy) She ordered one off amazon and used my discount ( i work for amazon.) She got it in 2 days and it was a holiday weekend. She loves it and uses it all day every day. As I said I am 29yrs old and this machine makes you learn how to sew easy and advance fast. I have had it for 2yrs now, and all I can say is, Time to embroider. You won't go wrong with this machine. There is 4 different kinds of instructions. On the machine, book, CD, and LCD help screen on the machine. I mean it is idiot proof, loose the cd and instruction book thats ok it's on the machine! You are getting a great machine for the price. I have researched many sellers and even ebay for used and new machines of this model. Ultimately, I decided the best deal was to go with a brand new machine from Amazon, with free shipping. This put the machine at a cheaper price than Wal-Mart. Also, I feel better about my purchase by going with a new machine because of the manufacturer's warranty. Amazon shipped the item quickly and securely.I always had a Singer Sewing Machine and was hesitant buying a Brother SE350 Computerized machine. After seeing the positive reviews on Amazon I decided to try a Brother. What a beautiful machine and so easy to use. A friend bought a Brother SE350 after using mine. She could not believe the quality of this machine.Being quite budget conscious, I couldn't even be tempted by the Vikings and Berninas of the world so when I found this I thought it was a perfect blend of features and price. I like that I can experiment with monogramming and embroidery as well. The auto threader and auto cutter are awesome. So easy to use and so convenient. I've already purchased the PED-basic cord so that I could download more (free!) designs as well as more fonts. So far, so good on this machine! It embroiders beautifullly and is very simple to use. I can't imagine why anyone would spend thousands for machines that do basically the same thing.Just love the way the designs appear and it is easy to use. I recommend it for beginners. You won't be disappointed. I am now looking to add embrodiery cards for my collection.I do not sew as mush as I did in the past, but this machine may change that. This machine is so easy to use, it does most of the work, making it easy to sew anything, embroidery is a snap.I love, love, love it. Your guide Wirecutter Staff Share this review After more than 20 hours researching 34 label makers and testing the seven most promising models, we found that the Dymo LabelManager 420P is the best one for most people who need to bring a bit more organization to their offices or homes. The Dymo has a large, bright display and an easy-to-navigate interface, and its keyboard is the most comfortable to use when typing one-handed. Our pick Dymo LabelManager 420P The best all-purpose label maker This model’s compact size and comfy keyboard make operating it with one hand easy. It also has a large and bright display, an intuitive interface, and a convenient rechargeable battery. We like that it has a rechargeable battery, so you’ll never have to rush to the store or ransack all your remotes for a new set of batteries; just plug it in and wait a few minutes for it to build up a charge. Plus, the Dymo has a narrow keyboard that makes carrying it from room to room or typing on it without a desk or table easy—a design that parents, office managers, and organizers of all stripes will appreciate. Advertisement Runner-up Brother PT-D450 Same features, more difficult to use It has a bright display and an easy-to-use keyboard—and its labels actually survived a run through the dishwasher. But it needs six AA batteries. If you stick labels on food storage containers, water bottles, or anything else that you’d put in the dishwasher, we recommend the Brother PT-D450 because its labels won’t wash off after one cycle. For most everyone else, however, the Dymo is a better choice. Though the Brother improves on the Dymo in some ways—a brighter backlit display and a better keyboard layout—the keyboard is mushier, the display doesn’t show as much information, it requires six AA batteries and has no rechargeable options, and the interface can be frustrating to use. Everything we recommend Our pick Dymo LabelManager 420P The best all-purpose label maker This model’s compact size and comfy keyboard make operating it with one hand easy. The research Collapse all Why you should trust us Who this is for How we picked How we tested Our pick: Dymo LabelManager 420P Flaws but not dealbreakers Runner-up: Brother PT-D450 The competition Why you should trust us I’ve been reviewing products since 2011, both on a personal site and for Wired. I’ve covered a range of topics, from smartphones and tablets to backpacks. I’ve also spent more time seeking and trying new organizational methods than I have on using the things I’ve organized. For this guide, I spent several days digging through the settings of all seven label makers, finding every useful feature they offered. Once I had a good understanding of each device, I printed out countless labels, slapped them all over our Los Angeles office, and put them through a number of durability tests. Who this is for If you’re in the market for a label maker, you probably already have a pretty good idea of how it’ll fit into your life, whether that’s organizing your personal space at home or your professional space at work. You can use a label maker to help tidy your office, boost your crafting game, or help everyone at home remember where everything should go.
