The toner used for the printer has a property that print density is light first and gradually darker in the course of usage. Irrespective of the amount of toner, printing becomes disabled when the rotation rate reaches the upper limit. In order to coat toner on the exposure drum, the drum needs to be evenly electrified. The evenly charged exposure drum is irradiated with reflected light and exposed. Surface potential is lowered by such exposure and a printed image is formed. By controlling developing bias voltage supplied to the develop roller, the amount of toner taken to the drum is adjusted to keep printing density constant. Charging Laser beam 400 V to 275 V.
