Paul 3.0 out of 5 stars Envelopes, Labels, Odd Sized Paper - Poor (1) This printer has one alternate media feeder which only handles one piece of paper or one envelope or one sheet of labels at a time. This is not a problem if your printer is on a table all by itself, but if you're like most users who have other things near the printer, you need to move the printer away to let paper fall out the back. Overall - If you just print on standard size paper and need a fast 'n cheap laser, this is it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.I bought one HL-5140 in January and another one last week. The first one died yesterday with a broken part; the second one died today after printing one page at a time. Brother HQ apologized several times and offered to send me a reconditioned printer--for the one I just bought last week. I knew the printers were disposable and that printer repair places will not work on Brother printers. But I did not expect the printer to die after a week. Luckily Best Buy is across the street so I bought two Lexmarks. I hope they will last until April 15!My biggest complaint is that this printer sucks a lot of power when initially powering up to print. Every time I print the surge protector thinks the power is going out and briefly kicks into battery backup mode (it makes a beep). Other people in my office experience the same problem with this printer. One person reported noticable dimming of their lights when starting to print.I did have to change toner, but I have toners in stock from the last one. I do get paper jams when doing double sided (which is a manual process). I'm happy with it.Reliable and the cartridge refills were affordable. This printer prints well but absolutely refuses to print envelopes.https://labroclub.ru/blog/dewalt-713-miter-saw-manual It is very frustrating to finish a letter and then have to hand address it, not once but repeatedly.
