I'm glad I did because I didn't want to have to search for a fax machine. I bought this one and love it. It was so easy to set up and use. All I had to do was take out the old fax machine and replace it with this one. Took out old plugs from outlet and replaced with new machine's plugs. Setting it up was easy too. I liked that to test this machine the company includes a test sheet. It's also the registration sheet. Fill out the sheet and fax it to the phone number provided. The company gets the fax and sends you one in return to confirm they received your fax. Nice idea. You get to register your fax machine and test it at the same time. Be sure to buy an additional cartridge for the one included supposedly prints just 60 pages.Item came as described, shipped in original box. The fax machine is compact and lightweight. It doesn't take up a lot of space. Setup was very easy, plugged phone cord into my modem and it's ready to go. I love how small and easy it is to use. For the low cost price, it's well worth the money. I am happy with my purchase.So far it's been working great. It even saves your settings if you happen to unplug it for some reason (like I did) The quality of the faxes received on the other end I've been told are very clear. Was glad to hear that. I haven't used it for incoming faxes yet but just using the print function to print copies of the fax receipt page it looks like they'd print very clear on this end too. I like that it uses regular paper too. The only negative is the phone handset. The calls aren't very clear on it even with adjusting the volume. So you'll still need a separate phone on your desk. That's why I didn't give this a full 5 stars.I strongly recommend it. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for me to set up and start sending faxes. This is a compact machine, that works quickly, and gets the job done. I am very happy with this purchase.This one seems perfect for the occasional fax. We only use fax a few times a year and this lightweight fax which we keep stored on a book shelf seems perfect for our needs. Have only used it once since our purchase, but it performed as advertised.Total waste of money and Ii was held back my pay by 30 days. My timesheets were never received and I am fully understanding of how to send a fax. Even tried to send again and page up and down and nothing, just to be sure. I left Efax for a brand I thought I could trust. Never again. This was a very stressful experience and will never again make this mistake and will advise anyone considering to stay on the safe side and do efex. This piece of crap may be OK for receiving a fax and printing a hard copy if you need one but why. It generated approximately 25 pages of received faxes. That was it. I'm happy to find a reasonably priced compact version which is just as efficient as it's older predecessor. The TAD system works great and the print is perfectly suitable for home business use. I guess I'm the fool for not reading more carefully. It's now making for a handy door stopper, and I've since bought a decent HP personal fax machine.
