Instructions Wind your watch. It relies on wrist movement to keep the pendulum running. If it’s new or you haven’t been wearing it, you need to wind it instead. Turn the crown (the knob in the center of the right side) counterclockwise to unlock it. Then wind it about 50 times clockwise. You don’t have to be exact. More is always better. Pull the crown out all the way and push it back in halfway. Now it’s in the correct position for you to set the date. Turn the crown counterclockwise to the date before the actual date. (If today is the 30th, set it as the 29th.) You will correct it in Step 3. Pull the crown out the rest of the way to set the time. Turn it clockwise. Watch to see when it flips the date to the correct day. Now you will know your watch is on the a.m. setting.
