Breezaire's low-quality grey coating may not be sufficient to prevent atmospheric contaminants from corroding the coils over time as water condenses on the coils.Controller failures contribute to the following component failures:Therefore, the only option is to raise the unit's set-point to the highest level that you can tolerate in order to reduce run times and therefore moisture buildup and corrosion. Sentry Owners Manual Warranty WKL Installation InstructionsThe bottle probe is used when you want to control the temperature of the wine cellar according to the liquid in the bottles. When the bottle probe is plugged into the unit it will take place of the internal air sensor. How to use the Bottle Probe. Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days (72hours). Using a normal size wine bottle clean bottle and then fill it with water insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it in the enclosure. Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has sufficient time to cool to the enclosure temperature (72 hours). Connect the bottle probe to the outlet located on the face of the unit. The on and off operation of the unit is now controlled by the temperature of the liquid in the bottle. The temperature displayed is that of the liquid in the bottle. Unplugging of the bottle probe will return the unit to the internal air sensor and will be reading the wine cellar temperature. Mounting the Breezaire wine cooler in your wine cellar requires only a hole cut in the wall large enough to accept the wine refrigeration unit, and then a platform for the unit to sit on. This Breezaire wine cooling unit will maintain the required 55 - 58 degree temperature for a wine cellar, in addition to maintaining the room humidity between 55 -75. In situations where the ambient relative humidity is very low, the desired enclosure relative humidity may not be achieved without adding moisture. To add moisture to the enclosure only use slow, natural evaporation from a small porous water container. Do not use a humidifier. In some cases, improper placement or installation may cause the unit's performance to be degraded. The condensing unit must have a constant supply of fresh air, less than 85 degrees F. If the condensing unit is located in a confined area with poor ventilation, the unit will not be able to reject the heat it is removing from the enclosure and a malfunctioning unit will be suspected, even though the unit is mechanically sound.
