I did switch it off at the plug but did not remove the plug (don't know if that makes any difference?) but nothing happened when I switched it on again other than the red and green light came on at the front.Would it get hot very quickly ie within minutes. Shall I go and actually unplug it and see if that makes a difference. If the compressor was jammed, you would hear it hum, then click every so often. It would get hot in a few minutes. As it didn't start up when powered off and on, it pretty well rules out a faulty sensor. Sorry, everything is pointing to a fault in the main control board. You would need to obtain and replace the control board to try it get it running again. Other than the board, there are 2 sensors. (Normally off and on gets the machine running if it's a faulty sensor). Sorry, not an easy fix I'm afraid. Unplug the appliance and gain access to the control board. See if there's any obvious damage on it.
