I would have firstly change the thermostat in an old style fridge but I've no idea where to go with this.Is the temperature lamp flashing? I haven't got a thermometer, but the temperature in the fridge reaches a point where the contents freeze, even though the temperature is set at 5 degrees. I seem to recall that the indicator light continues to flash even when the back panel is icing up. I've plugged the pcb and sensor back in to check that the light continues to flash and will report back. The compressor continues to run when I put the temperature sensor in iced water.I've found the exploded parts diagrams on the Bosch website are pretty good for showing how things go together, and common parts are often available from other sources. I have not done a fridge, though.I'm not sure how to replace it if it is faulty as it seems firmly held. The temp light does stop flashing but the compressor keeps running. Wondering if the relay might be faulty?I believe the light stops flashing when it reaches target temperature, in which case (part, at least, of) the control circuit is working. From the looks of the service manual (It's in german) you have to press in clips on the underside at the rear, slide it back. Tilt it from the left side up, release some clips and slide out the pcb holder. Once you have this out, visually check the pcb and switch for obvious failure. If they look ok, check the main switch first. Take the wires off the switch and temporarily join them together and insulate. Loosely refit everything and plug it in. If it comes to life, you need a new switch. If still the same, it's likely the pcb has failed and you'll need to replace it.
